October 26 - Lune Valley Obedience Show

After  a break for seasons and house moves we went to Lune Valley Obedience show. Dora came a very creditable 5th in beginners after running first in the class and Saffy did her first competitive round losing only 1.5 more marks than Dora. She would have had 6th place if I had trained her stays.

August 17 - Dashing Dogs Agility show

Rubys first agility  show. She didn't get any places but she did get 3 clear rounds 2 in agility and one in Jumping. She ran beautifully and really enjoyed it.

August  02 - BSDA Championship Show

the Judge was  foreign specialist Anne-Marie Beenan Sluyters and she awarded Casey 1 in the Veteran Dog class. Saffy First in Puppy Bitch, best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed.

Ruby was awarded 2nd in Post Graduate Bitch and Limit Bitch.

Casey and Ruby were both graded excellent. Saffy being a puppy was graded Very Promising.

All the dogs were handled by our friend Laura Wilcox who is a very successful junior Handler. I trhink Laura now has a permanent job if she wants it.

In the obedience Dora came second in Novice ans also second in A, the first time she has worked an A round. She successfully did scent and out of sight stays.

An excellent day was had by all.

July 26 - Agility Addicts Limited Agility show

Today was Ruby's Debut at an agility show. whilst we didn't get placed she did get two clear rounds and had a very good time. Videos of Ruby and Saffy running their courses can be seen on the Foxbriar Blog

July 17 - East Of England Championship Show

Saffy was awarded 1st in Junior Bitch and then went on to get best puppy Bitch and then Best Puppy in Breed today beating both her brother Sam and sister Lexi. The Judge was Helen Fletcher.

June 07 - Danesford Obedience Show

Dora worked very well was placed 4th in beginners. Once again we just missed out on a higher place, maybe even that elusive first win. This time I made the mistake. When doing heelwork I hadn't noticed that there was a cord hanging down on my jacket which flapped in Dora's face. Everytime it flapped she understandably went wide. She did the stays perfectly today.

May 17 - Southport Obedience Show

Dora was placed 6th in beginners after working a super round. She would have been placed higher but forgot she was doing a sit stay and lay down at the end.

May 09 - National Dog show

Saffy's first Championship Show. She came third in the puppy class under Judge Brenda Banbury. This placing qualifies her for Crufts 2009.

While we were at the show we went in for our Kennel Club Good Citizens Bronze award and Saffy passed as did her brother Sam.

May 04 - Rugby Championship Obedience Show

Dora was placed 8th in beginner obedience in a class of over 40 dogs. She only lost 8 points and gained another Certificate of Merit.

April 06 - BSDA Open Show

Saffy came second in the puppy class, only beaten by her sister Lexi, who went on to get best of breed.

Dora also had a good day in obedience winning the beginner class over several Belgians. not bad considering we had snow overnight and the ring had 2 inches of snow over most of it.
