I wasn’t allowed to take her home straight away as she had to be kept for 7 days to ensure her previous owners had time to claim  her, but they never did. When I went back to pick her up she had contracted Parvo virus  and it soon become apparent that she was very ill. I didn't’t like to leave her there so brought her home and told the children not to get too attached to her as she may not live.I spent the next few days syringing fluids into her and she did eventually pull through and grew up into a lovely healthy energetic dog   Inher heyday she was capable of jumping a 5 foot fence with ease and frequently did so.  At the age of 10 she had a problem with one of her eyes which had to be removed. She recovered very well form this, but sadly old age caught up with Minnie on 2nd February 2006 and she finally left us for good at the age of 14.
