Welcome to my website. My name is Sonja and I live in Cheshire with 4 dogs, Casey, Dora, Ruby, Saffy and Daisy. I enjoy clicker training my dogs. I also do breed showing with Casey and Ruby, and Obedience with Dora, and Ruby. Saffy is the baby of the family. When shen is older she will be doing agility, Obedience and breed showing

When  my German Shepherd Cracker died in 2000 I decided I did not want another one as it would remind me of him too much. I went with my mother to see a litter of Malinois puppies bred by Betty Duffus and Casey came home with me and Mum had his sister Lizzie. We both decided we would show the puppies at breed shows and Casey enjoyed some success getting reserve best dog and best dog at his first 2 shows.I wanted to do obedience and working trials with him. I found Casey very different from the GSDs to train and no doubt made many mistakes but we enjoy training tricks and heelwork to music moves.

Casey finds it too difficult to concentrate on working when we go to shows as there are too many girls to look at but enjoys working at home and has a large repertoire of tricks.

He can shut doors
He picks up the stainless steel food bowls after tea.
He can empty the washing machine into a the basket and then hand me the washing to hang on the line.
He can put things in the sink. ( I just wish I could train the kids to do this).
He can put rubbish in the bin.Casey has his Bronze, Silver, and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards.

In 2002  I went to the local dogs home and sitting in a cage was a small black and tan puppy.  She had been picked up by the police on the streets. The children wanted a small dog that they could train and handle at exemption  shows. I though this little puppy would be the ideal addition to the family.

The dogs home guessed she was about 8-10 weeks old and as she only weighed 5 lbs so I thought she would stay quite small. We now think she must have been quite a lot younger as she grew and grew. She is now 21 inches at the shoulder.
Dora has always been a delight to train. My daughter, Ashleigh,  took her through her basic obedience course and her Bronze good citizen award and I have trained her for her silver and gold. We also have done quite well in the occaisional obedience show.
Dora also likes doing tricks and will put her hands up if you point a toy gun at her and rolls over onto her back on the cue bang.

In 2003 I went over to Belgium with a friend to see a litter of Malinois puppies. I was really impressed with the puppies outgoing temperament and happy nature and decided to have a puppy. She stayed in a kennels in Belgium while she  went through the pet passport scheme.

I went over to see her in the kennels every month. In February 2004 She finally came home. It has taken her a little time to adjust to life in a house and she still doesn’t like vacuum cleaners very much but has settled in very well. She is a very happy loving dog. She loves her clicker training and is learning obedience.

Ruby and Amber

Ruby is the next member of the family and is Casey and Ambers daughter. She was born on 13/10/05. Ruby will be shown in breed and obedience and working trials. She currently has her Kennel club good citizen Bronze  and silver awards.
